Since the Daily Mail article was published, much has happened and there has been a steady flow of e-mails coming in via the contact page.
Sandwiched between my normal work schedule, I try to answer as many e-mails as possible as soon as possible. Sometimes however, it can take a little while because I am determined to write back to everyone as the e-mails come in.
Answering e-mails concerning questions about the issues of getting diagnosis or other help in the UK turns out to be easy in comparison to answering those that are coming in from the US and other parts of the world. At the moment it looks as though the situation in the US is much more difficult for those who believe that they may have the condition. But this may only be an impression, because I am sure I only get e-mails from people who seek help.
I am still amazed at how different things are in Austria and Germany, where it is so much easier to get a diagnosis than elsewhere, and where people just know about it, once the subject is raised.
I would like to thank those who have offered their help and who are indeed helping in their individual ways, and also for their kind words about the book. There are others who want to prevent me doing this, but they will certainly not be able stop me from trying to get the condition more generally recognized.
It all goes to show me that I am not alone in my quest, and that the network of people who would like HIT to be recognized in the English language area and elsewhere is steadily growing. I will continue to do my best to make that happen.
Thank you again for all your support out there and also for all the feedback. It is very important indeed!
